Terms of Service & Conditions of Use

We offer recurring monthly subscription plans: Free ($0/mo), Starter ($9/mo), and Pro ($29/mo). Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly recurring basis through our third-party payment processor, Stripe, Inc. Subscriptions automatically renew at the beginning of each billing cycle unless cancelled prior to renewal. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Account Settings or the Stripe Customer Portal; cancellation takes effect at the conclusion of your current paid billing period.

AI inference features consume credits from your active account balance according to the following schedule:

• AI Resume Tailoring: 3 credits per tailored resume version.
• AI Resume & Document Parsing: 2 credits per parsed document.
• AI Job Clipping: 0 credits deducted (gated by tier-based monthly clip quotas).

Monthly subscription credits are allocated each billing cycle and do not roll over or accumulate. One-time credit top-up packs (50 credits for $10, 150 credits for $30, or 400 credits for $80) never expire. Monthly subscription credits are always consumed first; non-expiring top-up credits are only deducted after your monthly subscription allowance has been exhausted.

To maintain platform reliability and prevent abusive automated ingestion, automated job clipping via our Chrome extension is capped per monthly cycle: 20 clips/month for Free, 180 clips/month for Starter, and 1,500 clips/month for Pro (marketed as unlimited subject to fair use). Manual job entry in your dashboard remains unmetered. We reserve the right to throttle, restrict, or suspend accounts that use automated bots, scrapers, or abusive request patterns.

Purchases of subscriptions and one-time credit top-ups represent digital services and computational access delivered immediately upon payment. Because access and compute resources are allocated instantly, all fees and purchases are non-refundable once processed, except where specifically required by applicable consumer protection laws.

Billing Discrepancies & Disputed Charges: If you believe there has been an erroneous charge, duplicate billing, or technical service outage preventing access that our team cannot resolve, you must notify us at [email protected] within fourteen (14) days of the transaction date. Please contact our support team to resolve billing matters before filing a dispute or chargeback with your financial institution.

Cancellation & Credit Expiration: You may cancel your subscription at any time via your Account Settings or the Stripe Customer Portal. Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active through the end of your current paid billing period; unused monthly recurring credits expire at the end of the period and do not roll over. Non-expiring top-up credits remain available in your account balance for future use. Credits hold no monetary or cash surrender value and cannot be transferred or redeemed outside of ResumeTracker.

You retain full ownership of all personal data and content you upload or input into ResumeTracker (including your resume documents, application notes, and profile information). By using the platform, you grant ResumeTracker a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not claim any ownership rights over your personal career data.

If you submit suggestions, bug reports, or product feedback, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use that feedback to improve the platform without any obligation of compensation or attribution.

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate your account without prior notice if you: (i) breach any provision of these Terms; (ii) engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity; (iii) abuse the platform through automated scraping, excessive API requests, or attempts to circumvent usage limits; or (iv) fail to pay applicable subscription fees. Where commercially reasonable, we will provide notice of termination and an opportunity to remedy the breach before taking action.

Upon termination for any reason, your right to access the platform ceases immediately. Sections covering Limitation of Liability, Intellectual Property, and Dispute Resolution survive termination of these Terms.

Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and allow 30 days for us to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. Most concerns can be resolved quickly this way.

If informal resolution fails, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of the platform shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered under the rules of the ADR Institute of Canada. The arbitration shall be conducted in English, in Ontario, Canada (or by video conference where agreed). The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding. You and ResumeTracker each waive any right to a jury trial and any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

Nothing in this section limits any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection legislation, including rights that cannot be waived by contract.
